Do we need punctutation for the wording of a bridal shower invitation?

It's not a formal bridal shower, something fun and quirky...but when wording the invitations do I need to use periods...etc...like a wedding invitation?

  1. If it's a non formal event then do the invitations exactly as you wish - if anything do not use punctuation at all and make it fun - it also tells your guests that it will be a fun casual affair...


  2. Why would you want to do otherwise? Or is it cute these days to look like an uneducated fool?

  3. If it's supposed to be fun and quirky, I don't know that it's absolutely necessary.  If it would be too stressful to bother... don't.  Otherwise, it couldn't hurt.

  4. Yes because if you don't then that will be the only thing that the guests will remember.  "remember the invitation with all the improper spellings/punctuation" is what they will be saying to themselves and to one another.  Do yourself a favor and do it properly.  why risk the embarrassment and making the bride look like a red neck.  Make the invitation non traditional in other ways like fun color or unusual design.  Something memorable.
