Do we need to fax SSN card for approval of crredit card?

NO NO NO NO. Never Fax your SS card, it's seems like a scam, no credit card company will require you to fax you ss card and never give out "ANY" of your personal id, specially thru the telephone, you may get a call or meial from a"bank" saying they lost info or need to verify info and that if you give them (verify) info such as your account #, dob, ss# then they as a security precaution will have to close your account.. It's all a Scam..

Never had to do that in the past 30 years to open any account.  Be cautious, it could be a scam.

No, absolutely not.  The fax transmittal could be intercepted and then your ssn would be available to whomever got it.
