  1. No - that would just waste more money - leave them alone!

  2. NO! tell the UN's Human Rights Council to F**** Off,. we don't want a referendum.

  3. The UN should b*****er off on this one !!!!!!

Bad enough with the EU trying to rule us with out without the UN starting.

IF we get rid of them it should be down to US the British people and US ALONE TO DECIDE.

Amazing - the UN p***y foot around Mugabe and other such countries in similar problems (Tootsies / Hootoo's) and yet the come out with this MAJOR SERIOUS ISSUE ?????

  4. yes. I want my democratic right to an elected head of state

  5. only if you can afford an Irish impresario.

    .....

  6. How dare they, what concern is it of theirs.  Why MUST England have a referendum, we will make our minds up in our own time, and, when/and if we decide that the country no longer needs a Royal House/Queen/King, I am sure we will make our feelings known.  UN mind your own business which is surely to try and keep the peace in the world, not stir up trouble where none exists.

  7. I personally love the Royal Family, The Queen only costs each British person 67p a year.

Without the Royal Family, The Royal Air Force would no longer be royal, The Royal navy would have to change,

The Royal Mail, (did you know the British stamp with the Queens head on is the only stamp in the world that doesnt need to have the countries name written on it as everyone recognises Queen Elizabeths Head)

The Australians would have to rename thier postal service, thier air force, thier navy.

    The commonwealth will be abolished.

No a monarchy has always been, is and will always be part of the British culture and should stay that way.

Im proud to be living under a monarchy and still enjoy more rights and freedoms then people living in America (Land of the free?)

    Republics fail often

  8. Absolutely, positively, definitely YES!!!!

I'll be happy to vote to get shot of them.

At the very least, only those who want to keep royalty should pay for them. They should set up direct debits to keep them, if they love them that much.

  9. I was going to post this question but 4 people got there before me.'UN: Should Britain scrap Royals?' is the Yahoo headlines, and one reason is for the way Britain treats certain immigrants. Well, that could be the bloke next door, not the queen! LOL!

Life would not be better for anyone if the Royals were scrapped. the 62p a week is so insignificant you could hardly buy anything with it - except 3 Milky Way bars.

This 62p a week, however, could be put towards something else.

However - what is the Queen supposed to do?

She, her family and her posse of courtiers are the custodians of a lot of our nation's treasures.

Do we want to scrap all those too?

So, if you do want to scrap the royalty how would you do it?

    A referendum doesn't come cheap.
