We'd be moving from IRAN to CANADA this time, next year.

& We have a flight to CANADA in 2 weeks and we'd be staying for 2 months. & that's what they consider the LANDING time.

We were told by the advisors here, that we should TAKE PICTURES OF SOME OF OUR PROPERTIES INCLUDING ''FURNITURE'' & ''JEWELRY'' that we are planning to take with us when we're going to stay.

They said we should take those pictures with us THIS TIME and show them to the customes. Otherwise we will have to pay some money for them when entering Canada.

BUT I know a family who did this. But they told us that it was just useless because the Canadian customes didn't even know what it was all about.

CAN U TELL ME WHAT TO DO?

  1. I can tell you that Iran is great about telling people everything but the truth.

  2. I have friends who moved to Canada from England.  They didn't take any pictures of their belongings before they packed up.  It took the shipping company about 3 months longer than it should have, and these friends now say they are missing stuff but they don't have any proof.  I'd take pictures and make an itemized list of all of your belongings.  Better safe than sorry!
