Do we need winter coats at Jungfraojoch? Ice Palace?

We will be in Wengen in the middle of June. We plan to go to the Top of Europe. Will it be too cold if we only wear sweatshirts? We will be coming from Italy and will go on to other countries after Switzerland. We need to travel light since we will be using trains a lot.

Heck ya.  I went up there with a rain jacket i was freezing.  Outside it was a lot warmer though.  But yes definitely bring a winter jacket.

Since you need to travel LIGHT I recommend you to wear warm(thermic) underwear since it doesn't use up such a lot of space like a coat which you don't need for other places in June.

Yes, you will be really cold in just sweatshirts. Whether you'll be "too" cold depends on your own tolerance. But the first time I went it was August and I was cold in a fleece-lined windbreaker.  Madonna has a good suggestion though.
