Do we really know the meaning of LOVE?

No. I don't believe so. We think we know what it means. But I don't think we really know.  I think the closest "knowing" of LOVE is when you have a child you've waited your whole life for. That's perhaps the closest thing I can think of that is of God's love.

I think the man's concept/understanding of love compared to God's love is like our pets love for us.  It's good but really not that deep.

At the last funeral of one of my fallen brothers Love was described.  This man unselfishly served for years giving and receiving nothing, struggling and complaining not, finally surrendering his life so that his comrades might live.  I have seen it, in my family, in my coworkers, I share it in my witness.

love is a lot more than a fuzzy feeling or an attraction to someone but over the years this is what we have been taught love is. but if that attraction hurts others it is wrong and best done away with. david was attracted and had a fuzzy feeling towards bathsheba but what he did was wrong. it was a very selfish act it hurt many people.

Jesus was and always will be perfect love because He overcame His flesh and committed no wrong. when He died as a sacrifice for everyone that made it complete and perfect love.

i may misspell ok. really meaning?there are three types of love my friend.

1.agape love; GODS  love unconditional

2. philo love. brotherly love ,friend to friend

Try looking at your newborn son or daughter.  If at that moment you don't know what love is, you simply ain't human.

Does it matter if we know the meaning of love or not?  We feel it, the overwhelming sensation of happiness when we see someone, are near them, touch them and share their space.  The comeraderie of being one with someone, being close, knowing everything about them, and taking care of them.

I dont' care what the meaning of love is... I know I feel it and it feels good.
