Well, in cartoons and comic strips, they represent deep thought by closing a subject's eyes. I thought about it, and maybe we use more of our brain that is usually observing everything around us (visually) and sending a response to what we see. I tried it and I found it easier to focus on a subject with my eyes closed.

  1. i think you do because you can visualize it

  2. it helps some times it reduces distraction visual distraction. but not a must, looking around and focusing at specific point also help with concentration

  3. I guess. You can visualize easier without 'distractions' in front of you. Solely focusing on thinking and whatnot. I prefer multitasking though, so I do a billion things and think a billion thoughts at once. It works out and I can get stuff done rather quickly. But I end up speaking some thoughts aloud process it all. Weird but true.^^;

  4. its normal. blocks out the distractions. i do that all the time

  5. i tink its true weneva i go to bed i tink way more and about tings that are really random

  6. yes i think better with my eyes close too

  7. yes! because in open eyes wee see different things and we change our eyes to see different and like tis our mind will not consentrate on particular thing so its scientifically prooved that thinking in eye close will give better results and we would able to think only of that thing>

  8. Most people do, I personally get distracted easier when I close my eyes. My mind just wonders off. I fall asleep too. For me squinting my eyes helps me concentrate easier.

  9. i think we concentrate better with our eyes closed

  10. i think so its fun thats why i like to sleep

  11. Yes, because your brain uses less "power" when it has less sensory information to process...

  12. yes, i think much easier when my eyes are closed

  13. I think that it is typically true that we do think easier with our eyes closed.  Part of it may have to do with the attention usually focused towards visual things is able to be used in another way but I think it has more to do with the fact that when our eyes are closed we are less distracted both subconsciously and consciously by visual stimuli.

  14. That depends on what you thinking about and how visually distracted you are.

  15. Definitely once you "shut off" one of your senses you have a better sense of what you are doing, by closing your eyes you block outside distractions and it helps you think more clearly. That's the way I see it(pun intended) anyway.

  16. lol whatever floats your boat (:
