I'm American but fluent in Chinese and pretty in tune with the culture, but I've always heard it called the falun dafa. Some people are into it, but I don't think Chinese meditation is really common in America.

Im a chinese but i think not many do know what is that. I only saw once that a group of chinese are "falun gong"ing in a small park, and the western friends seems curious about it.
