It probably depends on many factors -- but it probably has happened at some time.

It would depend on the size & kind of boat -- and the size of the waves, etc.

Yes whales make waves when they break water and no this does not slow down boats (although it can really cause an interesting wave pattern); however I get the impression that you don't really want to know the answer to these questions.

They do make small waves but not a problem!!Stay well away from whales...they can tip over a small boat and there is a danger of hitting the whale and causing severe damage. To the whale im saying!!!
