Do what makes people happy or do what makes me happy?

im in the predicament of deciding whether or not i should go to the college my parents want me to go to. I want to go to a community college up north and live with my biological father. But my parents dont think its such a good idea because they are jealous. And they want me closer. So I'm not sure whether or not I should just bite the bullet and explore my biological family or i should attend the college my parents want me to to make them happy.

no. its not necessary to tell me that im ungrateful and dont care about my parents feelings. because ive been told that many times. and if you dont have anything semi helpful then please dont answer.

You're an adult now, so do what YOU think is best for YOU. If your parents can't deal with that because of their jealousy, tough sh*t! You'll discover that you can't please everyone, and so, you have to do what's best for you and let the chips fall where they may.

It is natural at this point in your life to want to fulfil your own Destiny.

You have an inherent need to know your biological Father.Has he asked you to share his life ? If so then you must do the right thing to be happy.I can understand your adoptive parents being anxious but they would have realised a long time ago this day may present itself .

Weighing up the pros and cons from both options  is essential.Which do you feel is the best route to take.? I feel all your Parents will support your decisions.
