Question:

Do what you want, and repent on Sunday?

I've noticed a lot of folks at work & in my neighborhood who engage in the Sunday church ritual can be complete jerks the other 99% of the time. I don't get it. It feels like an attitude of "do what you want, and repent on Sunday."

Has anyone else felt like this? What are your thoughts & experiences?

  1. There are many Sunday Morning Christians in this world.  If there is really a God, I am sure he can see that too.  Do what you know is right in your heart and you will sleep well and life will be fine.  Go against what you know is right in your heart and you will worry about the outcome and it will cause you internal problems.

  2. There are tares among the wheat, and you know them by their fruits.

  3. It seems that what you've posted holds true for a big chunk (up to 1/4?) of church-goers. I remember several relatives acting like complete jerks as we were walking to the car right after church. I try to be kind and forgiving about it. However, it is very frustrating when God's message doesn't reach the hearts of regular chuch-goers. It also gives church a bad reputation.

  4. No. Living for Jesus is 24 x 7.
