As a baby, do wild western fence lizards need their parents to take care of them? or are they able to take care of themselves from birth?

If you could include a link with the information similar to your answer it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  1. No, they don't.  Parental care is fairly rare in reptiles.  The link included is for a study of dispersal, but includes a statement noting that the western fence lizard doesn't have parental care.
