Do window air conditioners bring air from outside?

Do they just recirculate the air from indoors or do they draw fresh air from outside then blow it into room?

what happens is, it takes all the hot air from your house and blows it outdoors, it doesnt bring outside air. hope this helps

It does bring air from outside and the coils cool it..it draws moisture and hot air from inside the house..and has a squirrel cage  fan in back that pulls air from outside across the cooling condensers and blows into your room
