I mean I love my games an can get into it an zone out. But, I notice some women on here seem to think a man is immature if they play video games. I think if the bills are payed an everything taken care of whats your problem? Do you think we need to pay more attention to you instead of the game?

  1. Video games can be fun. I play them, my guy and girl friends play them... it's just a game.

My sister's husband though, has every game system that's ever come out since Nintendo and hundreds and hundreds of games... all he does it smoke pot and play videogames. This didn't bode well for the son they raised, who is almost 18 and can barely read but can handily defeat you on just about any game, any system.

You just have to play in moderation, we all do. :)

  2. If my boyfriend wants to sit around and play video games all day, fine. If he wants the life of a bachelor, he can have it, and be one too. He can't have a girlfriend and expect to spend hours on a video game as well. Things are fine in moderation. I don't care that he plays video games. The issue is when he plays video games from the time he walks in the door at 5:30pm to the time he goes to bed at midnight. I expect to have more of his time than the video game gets. I'm not just there for him to pay attention to me when her feels like it.

  3. Some women hate it.

I don't think they really believe it's immature, but I think that is the excuse that is used in an attempt to manipulate the guy to leave it alone. I think it's more an issue because the woman yearns for his attention. But everyone needs time to tune out for awhile and relax ... a lot of women do it with video games too, but those who don't have other ways, whether it's losing themselves in a good book, surfing the internet, spending hours at the mall, or simply lying in the sun at the beach.

Personally, it doesn't bother me, I would always be able to find something to occupy myself while he played. And I'd appreciate the fact that he was de-stressing and likely to be in a better mood at the end of it.

  4. Yes! I get angry when my fiance plays his xbox for hours, women want attention whether they say so or not. And they dont want to have to beg for it either, play your games when ur with ur friends or by yourself.

  5. I don't think it is immature at all; as a matter of fact my boyfriend and I play video games together all the time.

I am hooked on a game called Just Cause at the moment; it has the GTA kind of feel to it but you are part of the mexican revolution. I liked old GTA but I think they are wearing it out a little. Fear is an awesome game too, but depends on my mood.

Sometimes it's first person shooter, sometimes it's RPG, somtimes it's strategy etc. I know heaps of women and girls who play video games as a matter of fact most of my friends play video games. It's nothing to be ashamed of at all!

You wanna play an excellent game? COD 4 is one of the hardest war games I have ever played on the PC.

It's all just a good time, balance it out with other things. Games are to relax not to take over your life.

EDIT: Sandy maybe where you are from (where statistics are generated by any individual who claims them) 70% of women hate video games, so how do you explain all my friends and I which include women?

  6. Of course then . u have 2 pay more attention 2 us . 70% girls hate video games & i hate it too

  7. Women dislike men loving anything they have no interest in themselfs. That can be the game action movies video games the playboy magazine, the list goes on.

  8. I don't really care.  My husband despises video games but I wouldn't mind if he wanted to play them.  He prefers doing metalwork.  He uses the computer only when he has to, for work, he doesn't use it for recreation at all.

  9. The last question pretty much answers itself: YES. Whoever your partner is, male or female, their needs are more important than a video game. This does not mean that game time is over forever, or even that they will look down on you for playing. After all, there are plenty of gamers of both sexes.

And if you manage to hook up with a gamer... sometimes quality time may involve whacking bad guys and it really does help if there are two people to dispose of the bodies.

    ^_^

  10. I don't... but maybe that's because I like them as well !!  I am interested in PC games along with my husband such as World of Warcraft and Guild Wars !!  We play together and we both pwn. lolz

  11. We want, and need attention; we don’t want to have to worry that you might stop thinking about us!

If that happens, the its hit the road Jack

Why should you have fun without us, you selfish man?

That is why we don’t like when our man says he HAS to or want to go somewhere on his own!!

  12. It destroyed my marriage.  I dont have a problem if a man has a hobby but one that takes away from the family and his duties as the man of the house I have a BIG problem with that.  My ex would play, get this I clocked him one day. was 16 hours.  Believe or not I have witnesses.  I couldnt get this man to even take out the garbage.  If it took more than five minutes to do this chore I had to make an appointment to get it done and sometimes that was weeks later.  So let me tell you I am the most fair and patient person.  But this subject makes my hair stand on end.  I divorced him 3 yrs ago and haven't looked back since.

  13. Many women love video games as well.  My husband and I tend to play together.  But gaming can be addictive, and then it becomes a problem, regardless of gender.

  14. I think video games are okay but in moderation. Only thing I can see that would make a women upset about it(well for me anyway) is if you're neglecting her, or they think you're wasting your day away instead of doing something a bit more productive (like cleaning around the house if it needs to be done). :P

  15. I love video games and I love men who love video games. I play once and a while but I lose interest quickly. As for the men, it takes hours upon hours for them to lose interest.

I can sit them in front of the TV, turn on Call Of Duty 4 and get how ever many hours of peace that I so desire.

  16. Many seem to. Probably because they know that the video game pretty much makes them obsolete, there is something which can keep a man entertained and happy without all the drama and bullcrap that comes with women.

Women feel threatened because they can finally see that they really aren't that interesting or worthy of attention in comparison to some stupid little game.
