  1. Yes, and also what a real woman is

    Funny how that works...

  2. I am a real man.

  3. "Real men" and "Real women" are the people who have the most "options" in the dating world.

The more options you have... the more in demand you are. Therefore, if you're in demand, that means you're closer to the "ideal" than most others.

  4. No, the general definition of a "real man" is decided by the collective of males in the society. How can a woman define something that she can never experience? She'll never be expected to act like the "real man" she defines. Sure, she'll have a preference but it is irrelevant to my definition.

I'd never tell a female what I think she should be as a woman.

  5. I just walk away the instant I hear the phrase 'real man.'  Doesn't matter who's using it.  It offends me, much as the "Hmm . . . It looks like you have a lot of punctuation" does; it presumes, arrogantly, that I might honor the phrase or the determination that the phrase applies; I won't.

It's only slightly less irritating in print.  I'm grateful for your use of quotation marks.  Softens the impact somewhat.

But your question is properly answered:  "Yeah, they do, everyone does, men and women alike, severally, and in small batches; and we all get to decide whether that one is 'an ideal woman,' too--but let's all keep our decisions unspoken, okay?"

  6. Well, if he wears camoflauge, smokes cigars, unzips his pants while watching football and occasionally does the Tim Taylor Grunt......he's a real man:)

  7. No, sperm and ovaries decide that one.

  8. No any 'real man' or any person that is determined by other peoples criteria is ..... not exactly themselves.

  9. Specifically for you, it is any man who doesnt run away and is not made of plastic with AA batteries inside.

  10. Real men are subjective, but women get to decide the kind of man they want, so if a woman's into skinny nerds it doesn't matter that a real man looks like a lumberjack, she's gonna date skinny nerds.

  11. Of course not.  Would men be entitled to decide what a "real woman" is?

  12. Women can decide if they think a man is right for them.  That's as much as they get to decide.

The reverse is true for men as well.

  13. There's no such thing as "a real man," just as there's no such thing as "a real woman." It's subjective, and a matter of opinion.

It's like arguing over whether the Belgians or the Japanese get to define the Loch Ness Monster.

  14. <--------- real man

  15. But of course, we know what we want or what we dont want (or should do)

My criteria for a real man is:

a real man has to have a backbone

a real man has values and morals

a real man is mature and honest

a real man is trustworthy and loyal

Now if you know any man with the above qualities, let me know......

  16. Biology gets to decide what a real man is.
