Do women go topless on the beeaches of Australia?

I know this is a bit lewd but I`d heard they do, but Australia seems so conservative in other areas I was just wondering if anyone here could clear this up.

Yes yes and YES - very common, especially in North Qld where it's very hot all year around and the Gold Coast.

We have a lagoon right in the city in Cairns and there was a debate last week about all the topless women (as it's a family area) but nope, they are going to keep on letting them do it.

I did when I was on my holiday there a few months ago, there were a lot of others as well. But that is just one beach.

There is  a few nudist beaches around Australia but few and far apart. On the other beaches nudity is against the law. I have seen many a streaker usually early hours of the morning after spending a night at the night clubs in Surfers paradise . Some get away with it others have the police waiting as they come out of the water. Many girls go topless but usually when they lie on the sand for a sun bathe and people take no notice a few will wander around and most will get away with it but if they are flaunting themselves and get caught they will be asked to cover up if life guards or police are around as many children on the beach. we have huge amounts of beach and if one wants to go topless discreetly they can no trouble.
