  1. No depends on what you eat before you drink.

  2. Some women do, supposedly because their metabolism and body weight are lower than a guy's. I don't really believe that this is always true, though, as I am 100% female and can drink a lot of guys I know under the table. Eat well before you start drinking, make sure you're well hydrated, drink slowly, and know your limits, and you can easily compete with a man.

  3. "Alcohol affects individuals differently. Your blood alcohol level may be affected by your age, gender, physical condition, amount of food consumed and any drugs or medication. A woman drinking an equal amount of alcohol in the same period of time as a man of an equivalent weight may have a higher blood alcohol level than that man."

    also..

Women are affected by alcohol more rapidly because they tend to have a higher proportion of body fat than men. As fat cannot absorb alcohol, it is concentrated at higher levels in the blood. Women also have less of a gastric or stomach enzyme (dehydrogenase) that metabolizes or breaks down alcohol before it enters the bloodstream. Because of this, women absorb up to nearly 30% more alcohol into their bloodstream than men of the same height and weight who drink the same amount of alcohol.
