silk is made when cows eat worms living in grass and then the silk comes out of their udders instead of milk. its all quite simple really.

Silk is usually made with silk worm cocoons that are boiled, and then the silk from which the cocoons are made out of,is collected and spun.

Queen is correct.  But the silkworm is usually killed in the process.  This is part of why some animal activists object to the harvesting of silk.
