Current have cable internet point in study, which i am converting to a nursery/bubs room. Therefore need to move computer/internet to another room. Friend mention to get wireless, but the router would have to be where current point is which would be baby's room, but i heard they can emit radiation. Is this true?

  1. Nice to see you're thinking of bub,I don't think there's any harm but if you are in doubt relocate the router

  2. ANY device which uses radio transmission emits radio waves.

    Wireless baby monitors do

    TV wireless senders

    Mobile Phones

Handhelp radio / walkie talkies etc etc and YES wireless networking does, but at a VERY low level.

Personally I'd put a non wireless router in and run a solid cored cat5e cable to where you will have PC with a wall socket each end, and use a cabled network instead.

  3. They emit a very low level radio frequency in the SHF portion of the spectrum. Nothing harmful about them.
