  1. i don't think the answers you see here will help much, but it might suggest to you some things to do to find a real answer.   So much will depend on where you are from and what you enjoy doing.

Make a list of he thing you and your family enjoy, google them and Arkansas.  yahoo and images.  Zillow for homes for sale.  check the schools.  Arkansas traditionally spends way less per student than most states, but that is the South for you.  Send the well-off white kids to private school and try like the devil to keep taxes down to send the rest of the kids to school.

  2. It's a beautiful and interesting place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. Unless things have changed over the past few years, it's always been difficult to make a good living in most areas of Arkansas.

  3. I'm from Northwest Arkansas and it is beautiful. It's a booming place with construction everywhere. It's a great place to have a family, I'd love to move back if I could.

I have lived in Southwest Arkansas as well and it's beautiful too. There isn't much there though. It's all small towns.

The Northeast part is very flat and there isn't much there except farms.

I've never been to southeast Arkansas.

  4. It all depends on where in Arkansas, really.

    Overall, it's not too bad.

  5. Go to Lawrence, Kansas.

It's close and it's a great city to live and raise a family in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence,_K...

Plus Lawrence has the best College Football and Basketball teams in the nation!

  6. This is the genealogy forum.  How is that a genealogy question?

  7. I was stationed in Blytheville, arkansas outside of Jonesboro.  It was nice.

  8. if your cousins

  9. I hear it is very pretty, but you shouldn't move there if you don't like hot weather.

  10. yeah i think it is

my cousins live there and we recently visited them.

(they live near the missouri border- in bentonville to be exact)

their house was beautiful, and so were the neighboring houses.

the only thing i would be cautious about is the animals there.

there were a LOT of snakes, frogs, spiders, and other big insects around the neighborhood where we stayed. (some kid a few doors down from them was bitten by a snake days earlier)

but it was pretty (and there were no mosquitos!-- very different from chicago, where i live)

you have to remember that i was in the northern part of arkansas, so i have no idea what the rest of the state is like (probably relatively the same)

but from what i have seen, it is pretty, and pictures are very beautiful.

but i would do more research if i were you.

    good luck!
