  1. I like to buy all of my books...but sometimes I go to the library too. =D I usually just buy my books though because I would like to read them again sometime...or maybe there was something in there that I would want to reference to later on in my life that if I got it from the library I would have to go back to the library and get it. =( I'm too lazy for that! haha. Anyways, buying books is good, but I can see where people going to the library are coming from. Most people don't really want to spend all that money on books and if you're a really BIG reader....I don't think that I would want to pay for a new book each week. =D Great question! Hope you got the answer you were looking for! =D

  2. I go to library for most books.  If subject such as computer, then buy or read on-line.

  3. I do both. I mostly go borrow books from the libary, and what they don't have i'll go and buy it. When i go shopping i always go into a bookstore and come out with some books. XD

  4. Mostly I go to the library, but when the book is only available to buy I will consider buying it.

There are also so many books online these days, I download a lot of books.

  5. It depends on the subject matter. If I know I will be needing it for future reference, I'll just buy it. It beats calling the library and rechecking the book out every two weeks.

  6. I have different methods. I will go to a book shop and look around. if there are books that look really good, but I haven't read the author before, i will write down the authors name, then go to the library and borrow the book. If the book is great (not just good), i will then start to collect them. I will buy try and get them second hand first, if i can't i will then layby. For quick easy reads, i borrow from the library. i also go to op shops and see what i can get. I try and buy reference books.(they are generally expensive) I am a BIG book fan.

  7. i go to the library  becuae u don't have to spend lot of money buying books.

  8. I always buy books and then put them in my little library!

  9. I get books in any way I can..   I'm a bookcrosser, so I buy tons of books.. (I read most of them and release them into the wild.. so, it's always good to have some spares)    Sometimes I buy from places like goodwill.. (I will live with a cart full of books for like $30) , but I only use libraries for ones that are extremely hard to find otherwise..

  10. If I can find it for free in the library, I get it there.  I like buying used books, too.

The only reason I buy new books is if I absolutely love the book and must have a copy.

  11. i always buy mine, my books are my hobby, i collect them so i always buy them, then i can re read them, lend them out etc, xx

  12. every now and then i will splurge and buy a book but i always feel guilty afterwards because after i read the book it just sits there on my bookshelf never to be touched again.....i like my local library because you can order books online and they will call you when they are available...you can just pick them up and go and you save so much money (as long as you remember to return them on time)

  13. i always buy because then i can read it whenever i wont without going too far and all the libraries close never have anything i want

  14. Definately go to the library, I also use it instead of buying mags and buying/renting dvds and cds

  15. all of the above :D

i use the library for general reading, testing authors etc - i don't have enough money to buy all the books i read!

if i like a book enough that i really want a copy of my own, where possible i'll swap it (www.readitswapit.com - also gets rid of ones i don't want any more)

if not i'll buy it - especially children's picture books! (work in a children's library)

  16. I work in the library so go the library :) It is so bad to be a reader and work in the library because I end up with piles of books at home but the good thing is I can just keep extending them for myself :) Libraries are awesome and way underappreciated.

  17. I always buy my books , that way you can keep them and read them again .

but if your tight on the cast go to the library , but watch your return date !

but the thig the library is good for is for hiring cds or dvds , cos you can put the music on your ipod and if your the kind of person who only watches a film once , then you dont have to pay too much for them :P

  18. I do both actually.  When I have the money or if it's a book that I know that I'll read over and over then I'll just buy it.  But when funds are tight I'll go to the library and check them out.  Or if there's a book I already own but don't have here (a lot of my books are still my parents' house which is a little over 1600 miles away) I'll go to the library to check it out.

The library is a great resource, especially when you're low on funds.

  19. I go to the booksotre, see if any books interest me, and see if they are avilable at the library. You don't keep reading a book over and over, you read it once, and then it gathers dust. I don't want to waste $20 on a book which I read once every 6 months. It's better to take from the library. The only downside is that the lirbary's books are in bad condition.

  20. I buy them, but only because of my mad discount at Barnes & Noble and the fact that the good couch at my local library is always dominated by the same obese octogenarian who never seems to get any farther along in whatever the Stephen King book he's been reading for the last decade.

  21. I borrow them from my friends

  22. Buy. I've never hired a book from the library. I like keeping them for posterity, I couldn't bear to part with any of my books, regardless of whether I enjoyed them or not.

  23. i go to the library.
