  1. The kayak you're considering doesn't have bulkheads to seal out water in the bow and stern. So if you don't want to invest in float bags, you should familiarize yourself with Cleopatra's Needle. ;-)

  2. Yes I always use mine so in the river if I swim I can worry about getiing to shore or swimming and not that my boat is going to sink to the bottom. i would recommend them almost 100% they are not required but a great thing to have  and they are cheap to get

These are great float bags for cheap

  3. air bags as in the ones that deploy when you crash?..LOL, unless you mean bags of air to keep it afloat?.. I went with my friend and we didn't have any of them.

  4. i don't think so. In my kayak I don't have any

  5. No you do not because unless you are on a river goin fifty mph and run into a tree (hahahahahahahaha) youll be fine and if your on a lake people will try to avoid you.

  6. Kayaks when full of water sink. Their material does not float. Some kayaks have bulkheads installed, trapping air behind them. They are not reliable. Kayakers have used ping pong balls and beach balls for flotation. Competitions require flotation. Air bags are your insurance policy...In an upset you may be glad to have a buoyant kayak to help keep you afloat.
