Well, no, I don't believe things are like this and I believe the one listed by Scaruffi is just the theoretical will of some pure isolationists. It is not reality and will not be, because USA cannot be indifferent, having an economy so strongly dependant from what happens in other places. No one, even Switzerland or Lichtenstein can live in a ivory tower now.

What is true is that USA foreign policy is often short sighted and quite rough.

I also believe Scaruffi cannot be a scientific reference for geopolitic and international issues, nor better than me and you , at least: he wrote a quite discussed history of rock; an history of jazz; is a (discussed ) expert in neural software a and artificial intelligence; a poet (I don't like his poems, but that is just my personal opinion and feeling, not a technical evaluation) and a visiting scholar/lecturer of cognitive history in California.
