Holy cookie starr - I think you misunderstand the quotation. The people are ****** by the effects of global warming (and you look young enough for this to include you). But Nature and the planet is fine because it is only superficial change for them

yes we need to because this can happen any minute, if you have seen the movie "tomorrow" then you should know what would happen, global warming is very important to us so i suppose that everone should care about it.

Yes, I care, but global warming isn't going to kill many Americans (or Europeans, or Australians...) It is an economic disaster, and many people in poorer countries will starve because of the lost lands, some of which are very productive at the moment. We will lose some of Florida and some coastal cities, but we will deal.

The Earth was without ice caps before and will be without ice caps again. In a million years we'll have ice caps again. This is not going to end life on Earth or anything like that. It'll just be a Katrina for the whole world. And then we'll rebuild inland, and in a few hundred years things will go back to normal.

We'd all be much better off if we dealt with it now, but if things go as they are it will only be bad for the rich (we don't really mind if they lose some money) and the poor and hungry, and they always have it bad. If we really cared, they wouldn't *be* poor or hungry.

It would be nice for me, however, if there wasn't a global disaster going on when I graduate and am trying to find a job.

Yes, I care a lot of global warming, but there is no chance of controlling it becaue the people in my place will not understand the consequences if this green house effect goes any further than 40 years then we will be all going to be extinct. If we start cleaning our earth and reducing pollution then we can slow down the effects and we can make a friendly environment for our future generation. OUR FUTURE REST IN OUR HANDS..... SO MAKE IT GOOD.....For our childen or for everyone.......

No because the Earth warms and cools itself .. There have been valcanos that have done more damage than we are doing ... so on ... It's just a way of getting attention anymore thats all it is. No one REALLY cares they just like pretending like they do ... Besides I'll be long dead before this planet ends so why should I care?

I really care and I'm worried. I consider it the worst man-made disaster in history, because if the Bushes have their way and temperatures keep on rising, the world will never be the same again and many species (us included) will have to adapt or die. Yes, we are already witnessing the turmoils: increased flooding, coastal erosion, melting mountain snow, glaciers, unreliable weather....extreme temperatures/flooding/drought....and things are sure to get worse.
