  1. Absolutely!  Everything we can.  We even keep a hold of our batteries and light bulbs until we can take them to a drop off location. We have our own shopping bags that we take to the store. My husband is a teacher and that is one of his "rules" in his class room. He will make the kids dig back in the garbage can if they put something recyclable in there, which I find quite humorous!! :-)   Everyone should recycle, reduce, and reuse!  Its just a good practice!  No one needs to be as disgustingly consumptive as most Americans are.

  2. My family recycles cans, newspapers and plastics bags we get from the grocery stores.

  3. certainly.

  4. We recycle, but we recently went to Sardinia and they really know how to do it !! There are bins for everything and it puts our country to shame !

    We've also got two composters.

By the way I got no Mother Earth !

  5. I see recycling as a last resort.  There's a slogan:  refuse, reuse, repair, recycle, and it's in that order.  Firstly, refuse to get things which cannot be reused, repaired or recycled.  Secondly, reuse it when you can, e.g. a carrier bag.  Thirdly, repair it if it can't be reused.  For instance, a radio aerial falls out - open the set and s***w the aerial back in, then put it back together again.  Finally, recycle only if you must.  This cuts down waste to a minimum.  Most of our actual discarded waste is plastic film, which takes up very little space.  I am planning to melt it together into blocks where possible to make other things out of it, and by then there will basically be no waste at all going to landfill.

  6. yes

  7. I recycle to save money.

  8. aye cos i am a recycled teenager

  9. I also return ALL and I do mean All packaging to the stores.

If its a small one off purchase I unwrap it then and there and leave the packaging with them.

  10. i recycle all the time, i even reach into the garbage at school to get paper to put in recycling

  11. i recycle everything i can, and save it up in my outside cupboard until i am going past the recycling centre who now have a facility for recycling the tetra packs(which my soya milk comes in) also fruit juices! i am suprised just how many i get through!! also the carpark in gloucester street faringdon has a bin for 'all other plastics!'

  12. I recycle everything that I can including glass, batteries, paper, plastics, cans etc.  I even take it a step further and try to recycle parts from items I normally would have thrown away such as light switches or door k***s just random things that I know someone else could use.  I know there are many others out there that feel guilty throwing still usable items out and that is why I decided to create a website where people can post their items or search for items before ultimately sending them to our landfills.

  13. No, if they really want it recycled they got machines to do it. Strictly busy work to keep your kids outa mischief.

Your also probably taking jobs away from homeless jerks.

  14. Yes, I recycle everything I can.

  15. Yes, I do.  I recycle most everything.  And I feel good about it.  It is so important that everyone gets involve in "saving mother earth".  Not just for our own wellbeing but also for our grandchildren, greatgrandchildren.. the generations to come.  I think we are morally obligated to have a concerted effort in doing so.

  16. Yes of course I recycle all I can and I participate in Freecycle, a really good scheme to avoid redundant goods going to landfill.  Those who want rid of something such as a table lamp or a phone just advertise it on Freecycle and those in the neighbourhood who have a use for it can arrange to pick it up for free.  Very environmentally and socially friendly.  Give it a try.  Google Freecycle and read all about it.  I have got rid of lots that neighbours were about to take to the tip and I've picked up a few useful things myself.

  17. i recycle what i can.  I even have a composter to put my left over bits of food

  18. I recycle anything that I can,

Sometimes I even go as far as to ask my neighbours if they've you know got any plastic bottles, paper, batteries and stuff like that which I can recycle for them.

    Thank you.
