Do you Think Manchester United Will Fail To Win The 08/09 EPL Season???

I am a die hard Man Utd fan and was very dissapointed with the 1-1 draw they had with Newcastle last night.Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal all won thier matches and are all strengthening there squads, especially Chelsea. I want Man Utd to win but i don't think they will this season, everything is starting to go wrong for them, they are getting hit by injuries and in a few weeks time they face Liverpool and Chelsea both away. I think they will most likely lose both of them and be in a position where winning is everything for them, this just may be the toughest season Man Utd and Sir Alex Ferguson will ever have.

What are your thoughts on this?????.

No. If United gets Berbatov, he will be the main source of goals for United. He will definitely make a huge impact in Man Utd's title aspirations.

god i hope so. what's worse is your wonder boy doesn't really want to be there, and his mates know it. hopefully it will show on the field. i don't think they'll be so keen on giving him as many opportunities. but, berbatov is no joke, and he can cause some damage up front.

I do feel that without Carlos Queiroz as his assistant coach, Ferguson finds it hard to handle all by himself, if you remembered in season 01/02 when Queiroz left the club for a while, only Ferguson left in charge in the end the team came in 3rd, Ferguson without his advisor around seems very hard to do all by himself

Yes I think so. But It will still be a 3 horse race. Just saw Andy Gray's predictions on TV, & I agree with him. Chelsea have the best squad and they are going to be up there at the end. Arsenal, I hope we win the title. It will be the top 3 battle between United, Chelsea & Arsenal till the last day. Liverpool will come closer than last season, I'm sure about that. And Ronaldo is out till October, thats not good for United. Without him they struggled last season and they will this season.

Arsenal are going to win the premier league this season - everyone has them written off but regardless of the result only being 1-0, they were fantastic on Saturday!

You have to understand that this is only game and this one game will not dictate how a team will do throughout the season...This will be a hard year for Manchester United and alot of pressure will be on them to win the double again...They wont though they will get lucky if they win one of them...

To be truly honest. I believe that Man United was at it's peak last season. They only way to go is down. This season more than ever will be wide open for a team outside of the big 4 to sneak a win. There are just too many question marks on the traditional big 4. The whole C. Ronaldo thing at Man United. Arsene playing with the kids again, and leadership issues the Arsenal. How will Scolari do at the Bridge and will Rafa ever get the hang of the Prem. I'd luv it :) for liverpool to take the prem, I'd seriously give my left baby toe to win the title, but it seems like a dream and not a reality. If I was a betting woman, I'd put a fiver on Chelsea and a tener on someone outside the top 4.

Mate its one game!!! ONE GAME into the season! You cannot write off Man Utd after one game that they drew I might ad and didn't lose! Yes I am disappointed with the result and the performance and the poor bench we had...we really lacked strength in depth yesterday but look at who is to come in:

Ronaldo(injured)

Tevez(Family br=ereavement)

Nani(suspension)

Anderson(Olympics)

Saha(injured)

And possibly Berbatov!#

I have faith in this side and I think we will win the Premiership this season!

Hrm.. it DEJA-VU all over again..

Last season, Man Utd took awhile to settle to in the league and they won the league, in the end.

However, I think now they should keep up with Chelsea's blistering pace...

I STILL HAVE FAITH IN THE MAN UTD TEAM.

Its only early days  yet, i mean its 1 game, it may all change again next weekend, I think yesturday proves that man utd are not as strong as they and their fans think. They had their fair share of chances, but with no ronaldo, tevez and a few others missing, it proves how important these players are, they had hardly any strength to come off the bench. I think over all chelsea have a better squad than man utd, I do think the title will definately be between them 2 teams but think chelsea will win the league.

it will be a tough season but we've only played one game and we had key players missing, don't forget that last season we only picked up 2 points from our first 3 games (we drew the first 2 games then lost to Man City!), we are not exactly known for our blistering starts to a season are we! The Liverpool and Chelsea games will be tough but we should have players back by then and hopefully Sir Alex will have signed a striker by then. To be honest i'm only really worried about Chelsea, Scolari looks like he has them playing some quality football, but as i said its only one game so lets not get carried away!

I honestly couldn't say if we will win it or not but I think it will be between us and Chelsea again and i can see it going to the final game again!

God i've missed the Premiership!

Last season, Arsenal top the premier league (most of the season) until they slumped around February and Man United took over (because they have been consistent performers all throughout.

This is just 1 game, and the first of the season, if you were to predict that its man united's doom, i think you should do it with only one game left to play in the season where they lost a decisive game and are behind 2 points from the top of the table, not one game through the season.

well...basically man utd just got two points out of their first 3 games last season, n they became the champs of england..to write off a champion in just ONE match, u gotta be kidding my friend. so seriously u cant write off any1. even at the last hurdle, man utd will nicely beat chelsea to it. dun worry we are champions.

Its the first game of the season, I wouldn't read too much into that. I know Chelsea got a flyer but I wouldn't be too concerned.
