  1. I use Download.com exclusively when I can.  But I don't read the reviews very often.  I see no reason why the reviews should be tainted.  And even if they are, so what?

  2. I like to see what new software ect is coming out every day.

www.download,com is the best site for it and I even have it as my start page in by browser.

The only thins is, because download.com is so popular, thst when you download a program, you only get about 1/3 of our download speed.

I have a download speed of 1.8mb p/s. That speed you hardly ever get, but so between 800kb and 1200kb is quite normal, However when I download a program at the download.com site, I got no more than approx 400kb.

When I have a large program to download, I google that program to find a different download site, Small downloads I let download.com handle

But it is a very trustworthy site

  3. I have downloaded programmes from Cnet and never had any issues.

As with anything though, make sure you have a good antivirus programme before downloading anything from the net.

  4. Download.com is a trusted source. Never had any problems with them and they're a got source of reviews. They've been around for a long time so that's a plus.

  5. For downloads, I trust them.  For the reviews, no.

They are very biast on their reviews, frequently I've found that programs they recommend are over-priced c**p, I don't rely on their reviews at all.

The best place to look for HONEST reviews is Consumer Reports, those are non-biased, nobody's being paid to pick one over another.
