  1. I do not accept it. You speak like you saw all by your eyes. However there are historians all across the world who claim Armenian genocide did NOT happen, like there are the other ones. So, this topic is controversial. Sorry but you ARE being a provocater!

  3. This question is for the Turks to answer but I have to make some comments on what you write

"we dont teached about greeks crimes at 1922 and we learned that you killed greeks in izmir but i know that all these are lies because i watched history with reality."

I don't know which country's book of history you are using but the Greek book of history states very clearly that the Greek Army was violent sometimes and that some Greeks of Smyrni, after years of suppression did acts of revenge against the Turks. Those actions by the Greeks at that time were nothing compare to the Pontic Greek Genocide and the massacres of Smyrni by the Turks.

And let me remind to everybody that the Genocide started in 1915, the control of Smyrni by the Greeks started in 1919. This is for all those who blame the Genocide to the actions of the Greek State and Army.

Can you please explain to us how does someone is "watching history with reality"?

    Edit:

I know a Mass Grave it was found in Samsun On the 23rd of March 2008.

  4. 3 Million Armenians were handed out Turkish Passports before they got killed, in order for Turkey to be able and say it did not kill any Armenians but Turks.

Anyway why do you think Turkey was not accepted in the EU?! Because they did not acknowledge the fact of Greek and Armenian Genocide, hence the rejection.

I love the Turkish as i speak the language and travel to Turkey for business and pleasure, but politically it's a mess: Women rights, Kurdish (40 Million in livin currently inTurkey), Greeks and the Turkish.

I would say get Turgut Oezal back!

  5. well as a greek i dont know what they have though ,and i dont want to say what i have been taught either...

All i can tell is that the The International Association of Genocide Scholars recognise this event as a genocide.

and this is what "others" said....

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academic_qu...

i know i would get many thumbs down....

    thats about Pontic Greek Genocide..

to clear my position, what happened in the past have nothing to do with my feelings about nowdays Turks ..

I really like them as people..

edit to hanibal:yes, recently found to samsun

  6. Do you know only 1 grave of these people.???

  7. I think you are nothing but a brainwashed tiny loser who thinks you can  somehow justify those dirty LIES through you obvious racist hatred and inferiority complex!

PLEASE STOP RACISM & SPREADING HATRED

come to your senses.. stop defending RACIST LIES!!!!

  8. Dark pages of our history!

  9. I do accept it (I'm not Turk) Turks don't accept it, but, can they explain why Armenians and Greeks left the pontus? Did they just decided to go to another place? All of them? Oh, please, they teach you lies...at least we know the truth about our history...The genocide happened and hundreds thousands of people were killed by the Turks...that's the truth and it will never change...

  10. what is should be accepted again? im sorry, i cant see the rest of your question; the question seems to be deleted.

  11. Yes I do. Believing in the

    truth comes easy for me,

unlike others I see.  What I

see here so far is only one

    ripe banana, a bunch of

    rotten ones, and

    2 apes.

I am either at the zoo, or

    I am lost in a jungle...haha

    ADD:( Here is what

    is called fallacious reasoning

    at large:

    2.5 million Christians

    were murdered in the early

    1900's by ottoman turks.

Armenians and Greeks do not deny

    this. Therefore they are racists...

Exceptional logic, one would say for

proving "stupidity" as the only support

    for Genocide denial....

  12. Similar questions have been asked on Yahoo Answers before. Dozens of times. Why don't you do a search for "Armenian Genocide" or "Greek Genocide"?

  13. sure,anything u say big guy.

  14. Greek genocide at pontus? do you know when pontus empire ended?

maybe Turkish people did Indian American genocide? or maybe Turks did Aborigines genocide? dont be that much funny.

excuse me for aggression, but this thing is getting ridiculous. OK, i understand discussions about Armenians vs. Turkish people( even i dont think there's a genocide of both sides), but there's no correlation of Greeks.

  15. do you accept genocide to turks after greek riot in 1821

can we say they were annihilated through massacres i didnt see  it with my own eyes and i dont blame anybody  after 1823 peleponnese peninsula had no turks thats the only thing i know

  16. What is done is done. Nobody can change history and nobody should be asked to do so.

But as human beings and honest citizens of a country we should accept the mistakes of the past and look forward to a better future while we try to avoid them.

That's what i learned as a Greek citizen who's ancestors have suffered in the past in their native country,Turkey.

By accepting the genocide makes you no less than a decent human being. By refusing to do so is refusing to the victims their right for recognition

Is the same as refusing the rape victims the recognition of the fact that it happened

  17. I think, unlike the fake accounts we have seen here for thousands of times, this asker could really be asking for some information.

First of all there is a difference between the issues regarding Greeks and Armenians in the Ottoman Empire. As a person, whose grandparents are Greek-speaking Pontian Turks, I don't think there has been a genocide in northeastern seashore of Turkey (Pontus). First of all this area was under the authority of British, who wished to give autonomy to Pontian Greeks, which would eventually(!) lead to annexation to mainland Greece. The muslim/Turkish population was much higher than the Greek minority, so the idea of an ethnic state created tensions in the area. Many çetes (illegal groups of armed man on both sides) emerged. The fighting between çetes caused a number of casualties on both sides.

After the independence of Turkey, Greece and Turkey decided to exchange populations of their own peoples (?). So Greeks in Pontus and the rest of Turkey, except for those in Istanbul and the islands, were admitted to Greek citizenship automatically and all Turks in Greece except for those in Western Thrace were admitted to Turkish citizenship with just a stroke of two pens. Both groups were deported quickly from their homes to their new countries. More than a million Greeks for deported from Turkey and approximately half a million Turks for deported from Greece.

This was a plan by then League of Nations (like the UN today). So western powers, as always, destroyed the peace that lasted for centuries, and created prejudices, like this one, that could last for millennia.

Well, a genocide took place, but not the kind that you think about: a genocide of peace and friendship, perpetrated by the big powers, who destroyed the Ottoman Empire and enjoyed the show as all of its people suffered... Now that there are 25 smaller countries that came out of a single empire, it is much more easier to colonize, control and destroy.

  18. Well... i dont accept it either and secondly:

in my country (Turkey) my teachers taught me this issue is controversial and there are claims for both sides. I feel really good that i got educated well and more scientifically; they put the scientifical data and make me think instead of putting some memorised idea into my memory... I hope you will find more scientific and objective articles on history

  19. I know about both.

Well, in past few years Armenian Genocide issue is raised in some countries, but it's rarely spoken about Greeks and Assyrians who also suffered genocide in last years of Ottoman Empire.

You will mostly get denial answers of Armenian Genocide from Turks here, but I wonder if they even have heard anything of Greek and Assyrian genocides.

But I have no doubt that any Turk will accept what has happened only if knows about it.

  20. Someone asked you if you saw it with 1your own eyes.

Well, my grandparents and grandmothers, from both sides (my father and my mother), experienced the Genocide against Pontians Greeks!

You can't change history because it is convenient for you! I don't have good or bad feelings about Turkish people, I do not have the time and nerve to hate people that haven't done anything to me, just because of the past.

But you know, I don't know where to begin describing what my grandparents lived! DO YOU THINK THEY LIE ABOUT THEIR TORTURES????

Just trust Hemingway, who was a reporter in Turkey at about 1st World War, Turkey wasn't a friendly state (as a state or empire) for the Christians!

  21. The written word is a powerful tool, but that power is quite often misdirected. The most popular version of history is not always the truth.

Read between the lines. Make sense of what you read. Then you will begin to discover the truth, with a critical eye.

  22. Ooh I see this racist asker is getting frustrated by every second passing..

just take a look at the appendices (s)he's made to the question..

the frustration and anger of this RACIST ASKER is most evident as his/her sick&racist logic breaks into reasonable people's rightous answers and falls apart....

    Hey you, the asker..

YOUR BASELESS RACIST HATRED TAKES YOU NOWHERE

I suggest you to STOP BELIEVING IN DIRTY RACIST LIES

and go seek for professional help if you cannot overcome your inferiority complex by yourself

  23. Nope.

  24. My favorite bedtime stories for children are:

Cindrella, Snow White & Seven Dwarves and Alice in Wonderland.

And please note that: Tooth fariy and Santa Claus don't exist either

So grow up and stop believing in such absurdities

thank you.. thank you.. It's a pleasure to teach you the realities of life...
