Question:

Do you actually believe that we can cure "global warming" or stop deterioration of the earth?

It's been a hot debate, and global warming is definitely happening. What is being argued is the effect of this.

I don't believe in going green, it's lame. I'm not sure if I should though. The effects of global warming are not going to be that of a new ice age etc. like Hollywood depicts it. Scientists who argue both sides agree that the negative effects will be things such as a higher oceanic water level causing an easier spread of malaria etc. Wouldn't it make more sense if we spent the insane amount of money that is proposed by going green and already being spent researching GW solutions for malaria rather than trying to stop the natural deterioration of things.

The sun will run out of gas at some point. What are we going to do then? inject it with more gases to burn?

  1. Yes, we can solve GW! Check out CoolingEarth.org for more answers. We do inject the sun with H & He-where do you think it goes. The sun is a magnet for them! As Earth is a magnet for water-which causes our planet to grow each year as we collect ice and water from space especial commits.

  2. Going green is a multi-billion dollar industry and growing extremely rapidly. For a growing number of the smart people, it is definitely not lame. Positive results are already being realized. Wouldn't you want to help make the world a better place for the world's children and children's children?

I hope someday you'll join us, (turdhurler), and the world will live as one...

As for the sun burning out, hopefully by that time, we will have colonized space and moved off the planet and will have been long gone...

  3. Sun will run out when humanity will be far away from this solar system or it won't exist.

Going green is just a way to rethink and calibrate your lifestyle. EVEN if global warming is not real, GW solutions are necessary because other problems can be fixed with them.

  4. Yes. First we must stop inventing excuses not to do it.

Changing to alternative energy source or by using more efficient engines would help.

If the sun run out of gas, we can dump all our nuclear weapons into it as fuel.

  5. I agree !

its gone to happen some day .

so we do is make that happen

enjoy life while we have it

  6. i believe we have the technology to stop or slow down global warming, but i don't think we ever will because we're all selfish.

as for the effects of global warming, the world does not have to come to an end for them to be considered serious side effects. "little" things such as sea level and average temperature are extremely important. all of the small changes you hear about are multiplied in effect. a 1 degree increase somewhere can cause hundreds of millions of gallons of ice to melt, which will increase the rate of temperature increase even more.

regarding GW being natural, the levels that we are at now are not natural. our increase in the past 50 years are many, many times that of previous "natural" increases.

it's unlikely we will be around when the sun runs out of gas. we will probably be extinct for a longgg time before that.

  7. No we can`t cure gw.  If every government, man, woman and child (and the dog) on the planet all at the same time decided to "go green", it wouldn`t make the slightest difference.  The earth has been heating up and cooling down for millenia - even before homo sapiens arrived on the scene.  gw is flawed science and just another way for govt`s to s***w much, much more money out of us. BOHICA.

  8. the truth is going green costs money thats why it will never change gready people and gov means we will all destroy our selves

  9. google it, it has to do with sun spot cycles..not CO2 emissions (graphs will even show..CO2 increases with heat..not the other way around)...secondly, this is a cycle that has been going on for all of Earth's existance, the world cools and heats (newspapers will prove that)...and also, right now...its not global warming thats happening...the earth is currently cooling..(look it up)

  10. Are you planning on having any children? If you do, won't you be thinking about finding good schools, making a good life for them? Doesn't that include trying not to wreck the planet they are going to be living on?

  11. Maybe we cant stop it, but we certainly can de-accelerate it. Just like aging of human body - you cant live forever, but you can live long by living healthy.

    Help the environment!

  12. I say going "green" is the best way. One person can change so much. If you went "green", you would plant more trees, help the environment, and all these other things that the world needs. And, eventually, if we got almost everyone to go green -- the world would eventually stop deteriorating.

  13. The costs of letting global warming go unchecked (coastal flooding, damage to agriculture) are enormous.  It would send the world into an economic depression.

The cost of stopping it totally would be even higher.

But a strategy to REDUCE it substantially and cope with the remaining effects would be both practical and affordable.  Here's the plan:

  14. You can't cure something that is occurring naturally.  There is no, and I mean none, scientific proof that there is any "man made" g/w occuring. What we are experiencing is a natural cycle of the Earth.

Try reading a completely researched and unbiased proof of the scam about "man made" g/w at::

    http://www.oism.org/pproject/s33p36.htm

Then ask yourself, if g/w is truly "man made", why is there a petition containing the signatures of over 19,000 SCIENTISTS supporting the findings about the falsehoods claimed by the g/w community.

Last, OISM is  "non-profit" therefore they are able to provide a complete and unbiased report because they are not funded by any special interest groups, political action groups or governmentally funded agencies and don't have to "change", "omit", "stretch" findings or blatantly LIE to the public and government to continue their "fundings" or "jobs".

  15. Global warming? the earth has always been changing, and will allways be changing. as far as global warming, this on a average this has been the coldest winter on reecord. Not just in one state, but all over the world. If you do a little research you may find there was a slight global warming just before the last ice age.

  16. We cannot stop it but we can certainly slow it down for our Grandchildrens sake

  17. We have now had 10 years of cooler or stable temperatures

    http://www.dailytech.com/Temperature+Mon...

Global climate is a dynamic process, and as such, is always in a state of change, with or without man. It is not a disease that has to be cured.

Using our resources carefully and cleaning up after ourselves is good for the environment, but it won't make a scrap of difference to global warming.

The lesson of life on this planet is that environments change and species adapt or die out. It is nonsense to think we can put a stop to a process that is a fundamental part of how our atmosphere works.
