Do you actually know you are LOVED and are SPECIAL to someone? How do people show how special you are to them?

Parents--because they fed and clothed you.

Friends-because they are there when you are down.

Being surrounded by Asian people, they show it in very subtle ways.

My parents never tell me they love me.  They show it by taking care of me, yelling at me in concern when I almost get hurt, giving me advice whether I want it or not, and etc.

My friends show me I'm special by asking me for my advice and opinions and laughing at my jokes.

I never get a card saying I'm special.  I'm never verbally told I'm special.  I don't need those things to know.  It's something taken for granted out of love.
