Do you actually need eggs for funnel cake?

me and my friend are going to make funnel cake and well we have everything but eggs.do you we actually need it?

or could we replace it with something else?

I do not do a lot of baking but i would think eggs is an absolute necessity in making something like funnel cakes. It's dough!!!! Duhhh!!!!

Yes, you actually need them. Using other things like applesauce, bananas, mayonnaise, etc. will make it denser and give it a different flavour.

1 egg = 2 tablespoons liquid (water is fine) + 2 tablespoons flour + ½ tablespoon shortening + ½ teaspoon baking powder

Egg is usually the binding ingrediant in recipes.
