Do you actually think Oscar can win against Pacquiao??

Respect I mean. Don't you think this fight is a mismatch because of size? Oscar should fight people in his own weight class. If Oscar wins so what he beat a smaller guy. If he loses? Hahaha Oscar got beat by the smaller guy. Manny is the only one that benefits from this fight. Oscar has at least 3 legitimate names he can fight and gain respect for beating or even losing to them. Paul Williams, Anotonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto(sure Cotto lost his last fight but who's the last guy Oscar beat? Forbes? Whoa big deal). Why won't he fight them. I don't think he's afraid of any of them. He just wants the big money fight. If he wants to help his legacy he should stop thinking about money and fight a guy that will earn him respect. Whats your thoughts on all this?

  1. Don't you realize it's about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Manny gets rich and Oscar gets richer, then retires or gets the public to accept yet another payday. Oscar should win because of size, but Manny is quicker and a southpaw. Great set up for a rematch and more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Many will fall for this and pay big $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for PPV. Not I.

  2. Oscar can win against pac man, but it wont be easy. I think he's seriously underestimating him, as in trying to pick an easy fight, or he is getting a ridiculously large paycheck to fight him.

I think oscar will probably win, but pac man still has a chance.... maybe even via knockout.

  3. I'm pretty sure getting paid millions will benefit de la hoya.

  4. the only way oscar will win is if he puts on his fishnet stockings and his high heels, and heavy d u dont know jack about boxing

  5. pacman has nothing to lost on this, and for de la hoya its all to lost even he win

  6. The match is a fake its only for the money

Its not worth Pacquiao gaining weight and fighting in a division he hasnt fought

  7. oscar has a 6 inch reach i think he can definitly win the biggest manny has ever been before this fight is 135 de la hoya is too strong for him im putting my money on de la hoya just because of the drastic size diffrence its like puting roy jones aginst klichko

  8. I think Oscar will win on the night as i think Oscar will be to big for him.

  9. i agree, pacquiao may be the best pound for pound in the world today, but dela hoya is too big for him, just as b-hop was too big for oscar.

manny's only chance is if oscar has trouble making the 147 pound limit, and only then if he lasts beyond 6 or 7 rounds.

  10. I think Pac Man will win this one. Unless Pacquiao gets paid to lose.

  11. oscar, manny... no matter what. oscar will get payyyeddd. just like against money makin .. wait. who really got paid out of that deal? 1. oscars pay. 2. higher than jr. 3. de la hoya took over don kings spot light. pimpin' sorry promo' tin  golden boy.look at the numbers $. money makin' jr. i think not! de la hoya pimps manny. why not loss to manny, retire( hey, they both don't have undefeated records) . and enjoy retirerment, and make more money watching manny fight. hey, if he beat's oscar, he will get more money for his future fight's. and who get that etxtra money.. thats right. the kid from east l.a. "the golden boy" .

  12. Oscar is not only going to win but is going to KO shorty paquiao.

  13. Pacqiuao can beat de la hoya.

  14. i agree, but its not as bad as u think,  this year didint go the way he planned, he wanted mayweather and he didint get him because he retired, he wanted cotto for december but that didint happen either because he lost against margarito. ok so what about margarito? ok well oscar said way before the cotto- margarito fight that he didnt want to fight a mexican for his last fight. NOW he never asked for paquiao, paquiao challenged him, so their you go theirs no other fight that can be better than that, im pretty sure oscar doesnt want paquiao for his last fight, thats why he said he MAY NOT retire (article at espn.com) so im pretty sure h**l be back next year and give all his fans a fight that they really want to see.

  15. yes delahoya can win so does pacman, manny has a very good chance of defeating delahoya at a reasonable weight division, anything heavier than superlightweight will difficult for pacman while any weightclass lighter than jr welterweight will be hard for delahoya. win or loss pacman will definitely gain a whole lot of money and a whole lot of respect among lightweights and all the boxing world, while delahoya... wether he win or lose, he'll get the chunckier share of money from the fight. win or lose...these guys have a lot to gain, its a sort of "Novelty" fight, they'll do it coz they're the hottest fighters today and fans will pay big bucks to see them. There's no money with Margarito, Cotto, whoever..., however you are right about Forbes...who i think was delahoyas friend. no matter what, delahoya will take the money and he doesnt need respect as he has it already...he's retiring and its quite right to think about his future.

same Q's have been asked and same answers have been given...like....delahoya's too big, naturally heavier, tall....etc.etc., when boxing matchups are all about "WEIGHT". im sick of these answers by so called all-know boxing experts.

all these are what we call advantages (especially, the reach and the height), its not about delahoya has fought trinidad,,,mayweather...jones jr....vargas,,,or ali...etc. so manny cannot beat him...huh?  i mean its ridiculous to compare when they are fighting at a lighter weightclass. remember, pacman has his own advantages too. i suggest "boxing know-all answerer" to try boxing, sparring with a boxer with 2 weightclass lighter than you then tell us they're not fast and they don't sting. for sure, you can beat them but it doesnt mean they can't hurt you.
