Do you add anything to your easy runs when you have a strength workout that day?

Hi. I was wondering if any of you add some power drills such as running strides uphill or plyometrics when you know that you have a strength workout in the evening? Is this a good idea? When would be the best time to add drills like that? I have to perform base training over the summer and I have to add some minor drills such as hill. ON my non-strenght days I usually perform a long run. Can anyone help me with this problem? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Well I'd say that uphill strides & plyometrics are a type of strength training so its prob best to do them on your strength training days. They shouldn't tire you out too much if you're gonna do something like weight training in the evening. & the long runs will provide a good stamina base. Sounds like a program that will produce good results
