  1. Not at all. I think was a very clever strategy to entice angry Hillary supporters to vote for him even more. I think it will work brilliantly. It's not a sure win for Obama; it never will be.

She's just as experienced as Obama and just as good a speaker, too, with or without the teleprompter.

  2. Time will tell.  He needs a fighter.  Kinda different going with a virtual unknown.

  3. Michael Palin?  From Monty Python?  The winning ticket if you ask me.  "What have the Democrats ever done for us?" ...

  4. Yes he did.

  5. nope

Palin's "...articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking..."

    http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/01/31/b...

    AND CHANGE NOT another Lawyer!

  6. Don't be too fast with that -- because YOU don't know her (McCain may have just DISARMED THE DEMOCRATS with this as Biden was selected to Debate a Romney or a Giuliani, and is easily disarmed by a pretty face, at that -- and made Hillary front & center/which Obama doesn't want..). Think about it, she's from Obama's generation and gives pause to any woman -- for SHE IS NOW THE MOST HISTORIC female ever to run, because it's 2008 and this isn't a longshot Geraldine Ferraro.. it's a GOP ticket.

It could very well, be an INSPIRED CHOICE:

    -  It flies in the face of the Conservatives. Moderates & Democrats eyes have opened, with this.. and it shows, along with Condi Rice that its the GOP that takes chances, not the Dems (Biden wasn't exactly an inspired, innovative choice, you know).

1-- She's ideal -- a Woman, first of all that's an Executive, Governor, MOTHER (a real one, and not a play-for-camera's type, like Hillary), a loving wife (again, need I say more re: Billary?).. has 4 kids.. and is someone that EVERY suburban/rural mother across America can relate to (just you wait). She's going to settle Biden's bluster -- because she's NOT the easy-target of a Romney, a cartoon character vs. her.. she's NOT DETACHED.

-- She knows what's what with RAISING A FAMILY.

-- She's very attractive -- and young. Suddenly, the entire face of this election is turned UPSIDE DOWN. It's not WHITE & MALE.. it's "Women vs. Biden" as it's "Experience vs. Obama".. Listen -- I still don't know WHY and WHO I'm voting for. but this choice, is excellent and shows that McCAin was actually MORE INDEPENDENT in this thinking that even Obama was -- and shows Biden exposed as a DC INSIDER and old Dem wonk vs. an OUTSIDER... and mavericks..

-- How outside of DC is Alaska!!!!!

  7. Big mistake. Less than 2 years experience as governor of a state with 670,000 people.  She has about as much experience as a brand new mayor of a big city. And she is currently under investigation by her legislature for conflicts of interest in firing a state employee. She is 3 years younger than Obama, McCain is 72 and has had cancer twice. She could easily end up president. She kills his experience argument against Obama. And the women who supported Hillary are not going to be swayed. News Flash: They are pro-abortion feminist who aren't going to vote for a pro-lifer.

  8. Game set and MATCH for Obama!

What a STUPID choice!  Does McCain think women can't tell the difference between hillary and Palin?

Oh man, I can't wait to hear fox-news spin this as a great choice!

EVERY republican I've talked to has called this, and I quote, "a big mistake!".

Lets hold the election next week and save the Millions these candidates will waste on advertising. it's OVER!

  9. The women who were supporting Hillary were pro choice, bra burning, classical feminists and some modern post-feminists.  Palin is neither nor does she have much in common with the city educated ladies who supported Hillary.  Not to mention McCain is still anti-abortion.  All of that means there is no way to attract Hillary supporters away from Obama at this point. Especially since Billary's reconciliation with Obama at the Dem convention.

Not to mention who the h**l is this lady?!

The republicans have lost their minds.  They no longer stand for any of the values that we hold dear such as low spending, fiscal responsibility, leadership by example, and it seems that the Dem nominee this year knows more about scripture than McCain.  I'm completely disappointed with the ticket and I will be staying home this year encouraging my friends to do the same.  The Republicans could stand a hard slap in the face loss to help them remember who they are or at least, who they were.

  10. It proves McCain thinks women are stupid. They won't vote for a pro-forced childbirth candidate.

  11. All I want to know is, can I be HER intern? She's a MILF.

I'm a McCain supporter and I think he made a mistake he should have picked Romney and stuck it to the Demsies, but now he's squandered

his most effective weapon which was the experience claim.

I'm sure she's a tough cookie, and pretty but ready to be president, REALLY?    Talk about Mrs. Smith goes to Washington.

  12. It's an interesting selection.  One has to wonder if this was a last-minute change from either the Minnesota Governor or Guy Smiley (Romney).

    BTW...it's McCain, not McCaine.

  13. politics is so boring and nothing ever changes for the better....

humans are always mistakes when trying to run Gods world!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. Big mistake for McCain. He looks like a hypocrite. He keeps saying that Obama is not experiance, then he chose someone with hardly has experiance and is a leader of 9,000 people in Alaska. I mean the Republic party has to start thinking?? McCain is older and has health problems and you are going to give the responsibility of the United States to an interm. My God what was he thinking? He wants to woman vote. I know Hillary supporters are upset, but Palin is ultra conservation. Think about feminism. She is old school. Oh My gosh!!! I am really scare. I am not joking, I am really scare if this ticket wins. We are already in trouble, this would kill the United States. I would of prefer him choosing Rowney. Like Obama mention, why is this country going backwards. All parties should start looking for a change and look toward our children furture. Obama all the way!!!

  15. Yes, a big mistake.

He caved to the pressure and may pay for it with the election.

I hope not, but we shall see.

  16. I think that his choice is going to be a HUGE disaster for the Republicans. OBAMA/BIDEN FTW!

  17. I wish it were Michael Palin instead. I'd love to see McCain forced to do "The Fish-slapping Dance".

  18. well duh yeah.lol.what a gimmick--younger but with no exper.to step in when he dies. It'd take 60 advisors FT to even bring her up to speed in the Wht House!AND she doesnt even really know what the veep does! Its a sham,to show her darling troup of kids and babe in arms on stage-we all know that Obama family is so precious looking and acting(those lil girls so sweet) and we need that wonderful, smart man of colour and america will take nothing less.we are fed up. As O. said ENOUGH!Her, foreign policy LOL!Her in a debate with BIDEN?LOL again!what a trick and it will fail. Id bet she bows out and they throw Romney back in. UGUGUG!
