I can't think of anyone who has had more impact to the world than Bill and Melinda Gates in terms of the magnitude of what they have and are accomplishing in third world countries. Millions of lives are being saved every year because of their foundation. I can't think of anyone during the last century who has impacted more lives.

  1. Yes.

  2. for what... for charity i guess yes

  3. No, it's for publicity sake. Don't you know he's getting sued that's why he's giving away his money.

  4. no.. all they did is earn a lot of money and then donate it.. it makes them good people but it didn't change the world

  5. I think he would have to share it with all the people forced to buy anything related to MS.

The people who were f--ked into having to foot this bill should ALL share in the prize, because it's THEIR MONEY which funded the whole freaking thing.

Bill Gates should be flogged in public for creating the worlds largest monopoly, and being a white-collar criminal hiding behind his lawyers, and lobbyists who serve his purpose.

That would be about, what 6.5 billion people screwed over by MS? Divided by 1.2 million dollars?

You are disillusioned by thinking money buys credibility.

  6. There are many. many more deserving People than the Gate's.

  7. NO!!!!

Think of all the people forced to continually press CTRL-ALT-DEL for five minutes to open one window. Charity does not excuse this. Bill Gates is irresponsible, and has failed to uphold family nobility.

  8. I don't think so. It's true that they have donated large amounts of money to charity but look at their bank accounts! It hasn't had an impact on them! Maybe for all of us hearing that they donate a $100 million (for example) sounds like a big deal, but it's just about proportions and relativity... for them that is like for us donating $1.

There are lots of people out there who would deserve it better. Like those who volunteer to take care of orphans, to go to countries in middle of wars to help the locals risking their own life! These people may not have Bill's money but they do wanna make a difference no matter if the price is their life. That's what takes courage, not getting money out of your wallet.

*I have nothing against them, what's more I think it would be great all billionaires would think like that; but I believe there are more anonymous heroes that might not cause an impact in a whole world or even a small country, but they Do make an impact in someone's life when they needed the most.
