What is your point of view on breaking the law if you feel something isn't fair?

  1. It is often the most effective way to make change happen.  I think it an excellent tactic often.  One must be prepared to pay the price for doing so though.


  2. Civil disobedience is valid if it is against an unlawful policy of the government.

  3. It's a great way to influence change, if used responsibly (i.e. non-violently).

  4. You must be a product of government schools.

    If something is allowed, then a law isn't being broken, now is it.

    As far as civil disobedience goes, I consider myself a rational anarchist. I can almost understand other peoples' need to make laws that govern my behavior. That doesn't mean that I like it. If a law is convenient for me, I obey it. If it is inconvenient, I break it, taking care not to attract attention, and knowing full well that I alone am responsible for any consequences.

    There occasions where public disobedience is the only way to attract attention to the stupidity of some laws. I commend the courage of those who have and who will do what is necessary to preserve and / or restore freedom to our country.
