I live in a facility that is totally solar powered in the daytime.  It feels good to run the dryer and other systems without using grid electricity.  However, the website is accurate, the solar panels are extremely expensive.  This may change over time as new plastic panels are developed.

I am more supportive of Bush's push for geothermal-generated electricity to make hydrogen to run vehicles and to power buildings.  He has also been pushing hard on wind power, though he has had to fight 'environmentalists' who insist it is bad for birds to use windmills.
