One must respect the views of another and be willing to listen to the reasons for the views - otherwise they will dismiss them off hand as just nonsense, which is OK if the person can&#039;t substantiate their views with valid evidence.

Let me guess, you&#039;re taking Psychology 101 this term, right?  lol  I agree with you...usually establishing a commonality  helps to produce a more civilized debate.
