  1. Yes I do. For the average person it was clear cut. You can

get into a great deal more research into it to the whys and

wherefores all of which have the benefit of 60 plus years of reasearch, release of peoples' memoirs and stuff under the 'official secrets' act. It is easy to be wise 'after the fact'.

But for the average person in 1939 the war was clear cut

    and obvious.

  2. "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Contrary to what you've just seen, war is neither glamorous nor fun. There are no winners, only losers. There are no good wars, with the following exceptions: The American Revolution, World War II, and the Star Wars Trilogy. If you'd like to learn more about war, there's lots of books in your local library, many of them with cool, gory pictures."

  3. yea it's called the good war too. In every war you can look at the other side and say yea i get their side. And you can get flip floppers too but this war, wow. You really don't have any flip floppers. You really do get the good and bad guys. Because of the actions the n***s were taking.

  4. In the Mexican American war, the Americans were the bad guys. The American invaded Mexico to steal land.

In the Iraq war, the Americans are the obvious bad guys. The Muslims are only defending their homeland from a foreign invader.

    Vietnam; American=bad guys

    Panama; Americans= bad guys

    Nicaragua; Americans= bad guys

I could go on and on. It's clear who the bad guys are.

  5. All wars are ambiguous.  As Paul B states the Germans thought that they were right.  This extends to some in the occupied territories; there were SS units of French, Dutch, Latvian, Ukrainians, Estonians and troops in the Wehrmacht from every country under n**i rule - even a small number of British POWs - the Britisches Freikorps - fought for them.

For many people 'liberated' by the n***s from Soviet oppression, especially in the Baltic republics (they had only been part of the USSR since 1940), the n***s were the good guys.

  6. No, I dont agree at all. Sorry.

All wars have clear good guy bad guys scenarios....it just depends on your outlook.

Even in WWII, the Germans thought they were stopping the evil og communism, the Allies would sooner or later see just how evil the commies were (it took until 1948 and the Berlin airlift). To the Japanese, they were liberating Asia from the evil colonial oppression of Europeans in their own version of "manifest destiny".

Ask a Taliban who are the good guys in Afganistan-the person defending his faith (Allah be praised) and his homeland; or the racist, bigoted infidel invaders who think their technology is stronger than his faith......getting the picture?
