- They are sensitive and respecting to other countires culture and people.

- They know that they do not need sanctions and war to promote peace.

- They would never use the olympics to show off athletes for political purposes because they knwo as an Olympian what that that is not what the Olympics are about.

  1. Hahahahahaha.

Oh, you're not serious are you?  Athletes as politicians is one of those ridiculous ideas we get because we are foolish enough to think that someone who is really good at kicking a ball, swimming, running etc. must have a range of other qualities too.

But where is the evidence that athletes respect international peace?  They're human like you and I, no doubt some of them think peace is nice, others are probably keen on invading other countries.  I just think the idea that athletes are best placed to lead us is utterly ludicrous.

And they don't raise political issues at the Olympic games because they don't understand political issues.  I strongly urge you to rethink this foolish idea.

  2. Not if they find out he was on stereoids. Ouch! If that happened in the USA we would never have good international relations again.

  3. Olympians have a good chunk of potential to being President, especially the highly-respected Olympians.  Although they have potential and whatnot to show their capability, being a President is not an easy job.  Even past and present Presidents are not all satisfactory or seen good by their country's citizens.  "They know that they do not need sanctions and war to promote peace." In a sinful world that we live in, war will always be a definite setback for maintaining peace.  Just because one President or even NATO or a group of many countries try to promote peace, even a tiny country can retaliate against peacekeepers.  Some Olympians may have the capability, but ruling over a country is not what it seems like until you actually do it.
