  1. why do you ask stupid questions get a life

  2. no because they wil change history and that will be bad

  3. That makes sense to me, even if they had laws prohibiting it someone would have done it anyway.

I suppose that it's possible that time travel will be discovered in a thousand years time but they will only be able to travel 100years from their starting point.

More like a science fiction novel than reality!

  4. not necessarily. i recently saw some super confusing sciency show that said that when we are able to time travel we will not be able to go back in time BEFORE the time machine was invented, only forward or back to the time that it was already in existence. unless it is a natural wormhole which would mean that we wouldn't be able to control when we went. does that make sense?

  5. Read Isaac Asimov's "The End of Eternity" for a fascinating spin on just this question.

  6. this is not really a valid argument.  i know this is what the great Stephen Hawking believes.  this is a belief, not science.

  7. No, because they would be afraid they would change their history, and they might not even exist.

  8. time is not an object

Our measurement of time is just counting seconds or hours or revolutions of the earth based on our observations of objects moving through space

counting backwards doesn't make the motions go backwards, people will never be able to time travel, ever, no matter how good technology becomes

motion and space are real, time is just something we calculate from observing them

to go back in time you would have to make every motion in the whole universe stop and go the other way, while you remain stationary, it wouldn't involve any traveling.

    also

time travel violates the law of conservation of energy

suppose I ride down a hill on my skateboard, if you were to send me back in time, where would you get the energy to get me back to the top of the hill again?

    .,,.,

  9. In the future, if time travel existed, they may have laws or something that keeps people coming back, because that would change history and could have catastrophic results.
