Do you agree that one time in your life, everybody should have to serve tables?

.... you know to learn how to act when dining out.

If you think about it... if you want good service, be polite to your server... and they'll give u that.

When I'm Prime Minister I am going to make it law that everybody should either wait on tables, work as a retail assistant  or as a dish-washer for 12 months in their lifetime. A lot of people have a truly out of proportion superiority complex and need to walk a mile in their service persons shoes . It would be  a MAJOR wake-up call for many of them.

The thing with serving tables is it really makes you appreciate it when you're out.  I starting waiting tables in mid August, and it's definitely an eye-opener. When I'm out eating, I know how to make the server's job easier let's just say.  Some people shouldn't be let out in the general public sometimes....

Yes, but maybe only because I've done this job so I have an appreciation for how hard servers work.

Servers and ex-servers are the best tippers.

I think everyone should have a service industry job at least once in their lives--AND have to live on it.

Believe it or not, some people have manners without having the experience of waiting tables.

That's not a bad idea at all for the rude & crude patrons. I also think a person should work in a prison once in their lifetime. I did & boy, what an education I got. Maybe it would give some people something to think about before they break the law. How about it?

YES YES YES. Definately. Also I think people generally should act in restaurants just like they were having dinner at their best friends/in-laws/grandmothers (u get the idea) house. ie. behave cordially, not speak down to their servers (you would do that to your grandmother would you), not let their kids run around like little banshees and throw food all over the place etc.
