I am now employed by a large retailer, but I want to get your opinion about something. When I was job searching, I applied to work for supermarkets and pet supply shops that had "help wanted." signs up. I never gotten called in for an interview with any of them. Now I am employed by a different retailer, that was willing to hire me. I was treated badly by some employers tho.

It seemed like; the place like supermarkets that had help wanted signs up...were the places that never interview job applicants...

What's your opinion? Do you agree that job applicants are sometimes treated badly by employers?

  1. it is not only good business but basic decency for hiring companies to treat prospects courteously. this includes some sort of rejection letter. However, many companies get so many applicants in today's bad job market that they cannot possibly contact everyone who applies. That does not excuse rudeness, however. you are correct that some companies treat employyees and prospects like they are simply a commodity.

  2. yeah they do I know what you mean I use to work at a lot of conveniece stores and I got hired easily but never at a supermarket they are very hard to get into my last job was horrible cos my boss was a jerk with a stick up his you know what

  3. your queston is kind of muddled and your english is bad...perhaps they didn't call you for interviews because you made as many mistakes on your resume.

....yes, some employers do treat employees bad.
