She said I know what it’s like to be dead

Because I am the most brilliant legal mind of our generation, I give you this, my latest idea on the eradication of rape through enforcement of male responsibility:

The problem with rape, other than the fact that 95% of it is perpetrated by men, always seems to boil down to this asinine controversy over consent. The issue is grossly encumbered with a futile focus on meaningless, temporary instances of the withdrawal of consent, to wit: “she said yes” or “she said yes and then she said no” or “she said yes and waited until two days later to say no” or “she said yes and has been lying about it ever since.” She said, she said, she said.

  1. Typical feminist drivel.

  2. Well...  it is a fairly good clue as to the value of what is being said  when it is prefaced  by a phrase such as "because I am the most brilliant legal mind of our generation..."  everything after that has less value simply because the author proclaims it to be of such ecliptic value.

The fact remains that "consent" whether by a male victim (5% of the cases) or a female victim remains the pivotal issue...  b/c for those that are of age and competence, it is a reflection of HIS/HER rights to choose to be sexually active with anyone they want... and to change HIS/HER mind about it at any time.  Now unfortunately, people also lie about an activity...  some of which have a occurred... and some of which have been totally fabricated.  So it remains a "he said; she said" unless the physical evidence supports one side more than another.

Anyway...  just my opinion...  and I know I am not the foremost expert, nor is my opinion the last on this issue.

    Peace

  3. Twisty is considered a bit crazy by many other feminist bloggers.

  4. Women like this give the rest of us a bad rep. I can't stand it, it's like sexism reversed. Men are people too. Just reading that little snippet disgusts me (especially at how 'modest' she is *rolls eyes*) I will not read any further and never agree to anything like this.

  5. Men who quibble over what is or isn't rape are potential or actual rapists.  No means no.  Men lie too much, have too huge of a history of lying about rape even under oath in court, to have say or credibility in this matter.  You should have seen how FAST all the male lying under oath evaporated when DNA testing started. lol. Even in the U.S. men didn't care whatsoever about a married woman's right for legal protections against being brutally raped by her husband.  Brutally raping an EX-wife was even legal.  It took women all the way in the 1990's, the LATE 20th CENTURY, to get some protections for us.  We could put a man on the moon but it was still ok to rape a married woman.  Men cannot be counted on to have any honor in this matter.  Men did not help us then and not much has changed in their minds so why should men expect to be included any longer in matters of what is or what is not rape due to their obvious disregard for women and cold-hearted history in this matter?  Rape is exactly whatever WOMEN say it is.  Men who do not think they can control themselves when a woman says "stop" should seriously consider voluntary chemical castration and then get some counseling related to their emotional weakness in the matter of self-control.  Most men actually are emotionally strong enough to understand what "no" means and to control themselves.

  6. I think it's kind of funny.  I went and read the whole blog entry, and clearly there's some tongue in cheek humor going on here with teh "I'm the most brilliant" kind of stuff.

All she's really saying is that men should assume that women do NOT want to have s*x with them - she's just arguing to change the default from "they want me" to "they don't want me."  It's not that radical, it's just about changing perceptions of rape and consensual s*x.

  7. yeah  go ruthie!

  8. Some days it would have been better to have stayed home and read poetry.

Hagakure, Yamamoto Tsunetomo (William Scott Wilson)

    also from the same book;

covetness, anger and foolishness are things ot sort out well. When bad things happen in the world, if you look them comparatively, they are not unrelated to these things.

Lookin comparatively at the good things, you ill see that they are  not excluded from wisdom, humanity and bravery.

The first quote explains what I think she should have done with her time. The second the reason why.

Patrois - many (if not near no one) would deny that people (not just women) deserve protection from such violation. But women cant b trusted either by the same measures. There are storys from both sides of the extremes. And it is simply messed up. It needs a better system. That I suspect will require something a lil more holistc.

  9. The blog looks like a satire to me.  A man wrote it for laughs.

  10. You might want to reread that first line again: "Because I am the most brilliant legal mind of our generation ..."

Does it seem to you likely that this might be a humorous piece of writing to highlight a more serious issue.

Good heavens people ~ humour, remember it?

    Cheers :-)

  11. And feminist often wonder and cry why they are hated so.

        This is disturbing.

But unless we stand up and be heard I wouldnt be surprised if laws like that come to pass.

    ---------------

It might be in jest But it shouldnt be tolerated. Could you imagine if instead it was targeted at an ethnic minority?

        Yeah thought so.

There is too much of this kind of "humor" in our society.

    ----------------

    Factoid about DNA and Rape:

DNA tests have exonerated hundreds of men who where falsey accused of rape. So hundreds of women lied under oath about being raped.

Almost half of all reports of rape turn out to be false....

  12. This is an insane ranting feminist, who needs to undergo treatment.

They believe that all s*x by men is rape, and that men should have no rights. They're responsible for bringing about Feminist Jurisprudence, whereby men's rights are removed in the legal system, and women are determined to not have the criminal or dishonesty gene.

This is of interest, and applicable what we're talking about, as well:

  13. Consensual s*x is the law.  Violation of consenxual s*x by both parties is immoral and a highly slippery slope to further destruction of men.  I don't think that men are bad by virtue of their genetic substrate.  Some men and some women are violent offenders.  Most people bevave in a normative fashion.

By selectively removing the need for male consent, this is a move in the wrong direction in western society, although it's consistent with Feminist Idelogy.
