Do you agree that we christians, no matter what denomination should pray for the safety of Barack Obama?

I am not voting for him but please all of you believers join me in prayer to our heavenly father for his safety.

I feel christians should join in prayer for our candidates of choice.  I know it sounds wrong by RCC (Roman Catholic Church) standards, however, it is custom to follow your own beliefs.  As a member of the catholic church, not an active but a existing member, I feel praying is up to the individual person.  I would just pray for the democratic party at this point.  Very generally, we need to have at least hope for a change and without democratic domination, it will be at least four more years of Bush.
