no he needs to be beat just like the wife and kids have had with him. i think the sentence that they gave is not long enough. he is not sorry at all for what he did. he is down right wrong. he is the sorriest person

No way. I think he should get twenty years. I think the judicial system should bring back whipping posts. I think that will make criminals think twice.

Yes - in the sense of society has to bear the burden of housing and feeding him for some time, he has no liberty, and has to go through counseling and therapy.  No - in the sense that what he did has left permanent scars with his wife and children - hopefully they will not pass on that 'heritage' to their children.
