I think it is interesting that so many people celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and then say they're not even sure He existed.  Sounds crazy to me.

He was a smart old guy! He also said that beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. I agree with both statements

I don't.  Ben was a great and wise man.  But his theology isn't mine.

He was judging others for a belief he didn't even hold.  

Edit:  I did a bit of research, and it seems I am mistaken about Franklin's theology.  He did hold a works' view, presumably, as a Church of Christ member.  I don't.  Sorry for my mistatement.
