  1. Yep.  It works both ways.  Many other industrialized nations, and even quite a few Third World countries, have had women heads of state.  The fact that we haven't had one yet is something of a national embarrassment, but whoever she will be she must still win through the normal route, and not just because she's a woman.

  2. It always could happen.  The main reason Hillary lost was Hillary was Hillary. She lost the election more than Obama won it.

  3. I totally agree with her. This truly is the land of opportunity.

  4. No.  I do not agree.

Sexism was rampant and no body even batted an eye.  What this past primary season proved is that a woman cannot yet be president of the United States.

Plus, I think Michelle Obama's choice of words was a slight to Hilary supporters.  -- 18 million cracks.

  5. No.  She is throwing a bone to Hilary.  And telling her to go shut up and bury it.  It's Democratic suck up time.

And I think a "man of color" could be the president even without that bimbo obama.  A "woman of color" is the secretary of state and nobody bats an eye.

Barry and Co. are making it more of an issue than it is.

  6. Yes. She is right on both.

Rupert: Secretary of State is no where close to the role of president, plus the process is different. We don't VOTE for or against the Secretary of State.

  7. Clinton and Obama were both historic candidates.  No one with a brain suggests otherwise.

  8. The fact that Obama is being nominated by the Democratic Party for President and the fact that Hillary came very close to being the nominee says only good things about America.  A man that is part black might be elected President and a woman almost got there too in the same year.

I am 22 years-old.  If I had been born in 1936 instead of 1986 I would never have had the opportunities that I have now and probably wouldn't be in law school like I am now.  So, we can celebrate the good things about America and try to keep making it ever better.
