  2. Religious bondage shackles and debilitates the mind and unfits it for every noble enterprise, every expanded prospect.

    James Madison

  3. No, not even as a elective class. It's not scientifically true. Evolution is more true that Creationism. What books could the class cover? The Bible? That is a no-no because Church and state.

  4. NO!

Who is Sara ,Palin She was elected Alaska 's governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage. She has no foreign policy experience.1

Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.2

She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000. 3

Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.4

She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.5

    OBAMA/BIDEN 2008

  5. No. The US is NOT a theocracy.

If a theory has sci background, then fine. Creationism has none. It's not even considered a theory, in scientific terms.

  6. Why is it liberals believe in equality unless someone differs from their opinion or belief...

It's a theory and should be discussed in school.

  7. Yes.  If folks can argue that evolution is a valid theory, then so is creation.  Now I am not saying that public schools should take a side, just that it is their responsibility to teach all sides.  They teach about "alternative life styles" and communism, so why not teach creation.

  8. i can't believe mccain selected this ditzy creationist - i guess he is throwing everything on the fundamentalist vote.

  9. Just goes to show her lack of scientific understanding. No way should creationism be taught in science classes as if it is a scientific theory. It is not. The billions of fossils and other evidence supports evolution. Why would she assume creationism lives up to it?

  10. If they do that then they have include Unicorns, and Bigfoot in science classes too.

and for the people that said it's not true and she doesn't want that.... heres your link.

  11. Why not? Evolution is a theory, right. Why not teach all theories?

  12. In what way did she say it should be taught? I oppose it being taught as science (which it is not), but it's fine in a comparative religion, Bible as literature, or English class (how else are you going to discuss "Paradise Lost"?)

  13. Only if it is balanced out by Darwinism.

It's just like "Do you think they should pray to God in school?"

Only if all the other religions get to pray to their god too.

They should not teach one theory without presenting another theory or fact to show differing points of view!

  14. No way. Just because I believe in Creation doesn't mean I think everyone should be taught that. Shall we have the children reading the Koran in English class? Could you imagine the uproar?

  15. No.  NO.  NO!

(and anyone who argues that evolution is "only a theory" is demonstrating that he/she knows NOTHING about science.  Gravity is also "only a theory."  In fact, scientists understand evolution far better than they understand gravity.  Evolution is one of the most well-proven ideas in all of science.)

  16. No because it's unconstitutional and a fundamentilist christian belief. Fundamentalists are the the whole polygamist thing that happen a few months ago.

It violates Seperation of church and state

    Violates freedom of religion

Palin is a complete idiot. Am I a sexist for that? Let me help, Mccain is an idiot also

  17. I think we have been down that road.. Read the transcripts of the scopes monkey trial.. Its very interesting no matter what side of the issue you fall on.

  18. Only in a religion class.

  19. Whose creationism are we teaching?

Egyptian? Christian? Incan? Zulu?  All of them?

    Give me a break.

  20. Ahhh The hypocrisy of the "tolerant" liberals.....It IS a theory and until science calls it a law....alternative theories can be taught alongside.  If you don't like it....TOO BAD....  It does NOT promote a certain religion and if the libs want strict Constitutionalism....THERE IS NO separation of Church and State in there.

However FREEDOM OF SPEECH is still there and as much as you libs don't like it....WE HAVE IT TOO

  21. If it will get me a pro-life, pro-NRA, tax cutting reformer in power, I'll live with them teaching creation in school. Why not, most of the rest of what they teach in school is nonsense.

  22. Creationism is a joke.

  23. Why not? When I was a kid, we all celebrated Christmas in school. Now, my daughter has to celebrate Christmas, Ramadan, and Hanukkah along with the rest of the kids so no one feels left out. Either that, or they don't celebrate ANY holidays. If we are going to be a tolerate country, we need to be tolerate of all beliefs, not just what agrees with us.

All of these are religious. If there were a true separation of church and state, why does it say "in God we trust" on our money? Why do we swear on a bible in court?

And I agree with the other poster, if schools teach all theory, then you could state that this is a theory (if you believe or not) and it should be taught. Doesn't mean that its going to make your kids turn from one religion to another. I went to school for a long time. I have 5 degrees, (2 associates, 2 bachelors and a masters) all of them in science, so I have had evolution thrown at me for years. Did that make me change my beliefs? No. Teaching a subject in school doesn't encourage kids to change their morals or fundamentals.

  24. IF you mean do i think they should have prayer back in the public schools heck yes i do, and bible classes to, just like i did when i was growing up. you see what has happend to kids nowadays that arent taught about God. in the bible we are warned that a nation without God wont stand , its just a good thing we have grandmothers out there that still pray. when we were kids there was no question about it, that was part of our day at school. we prayed said the pledge of alligance and had bible study. i dont care who gets offended by that , i am offended that they dont any more, i am also offended that they stopped paddeling kids behinds if they need it too. our schools have gone to double heck because of it .

  25. don't care really. after all, the Jews slipped in legislation that the Holocaust should be taught in public schools. Doesn't mean that students have to accept it.

  26. No, the only thing Sarah Palin has the right to advocate is the creationism of unwanted children by her teenage daughter

  27. No creationism has no scientific evidence what so ever. It has never gone under any scientific scrutiny. She is anti-progressive and ignorant

This should be taught in Sunday School for church goers, but not in public school. This is like the Taliban; making people believe in a Christian ideology, which is unconstitutional- sounds like  Bush all over again.

  28. No.  It is not a science, but religious agenda. There is no evidence that the earth was populated by two human beings who lived to be over 900 years old.

It is christian based agenda.  I am sure they would not be welcoming to competing creationist theories, such as put forth by the The Church of The Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Sometimes religious people make me feel like I am living in the Twilight when they say dinosaurs were created on the same day as man.  The Creationist Museum is such a joke.

  29. No! Creationism should not be taught in public schools.

  30. Maybe she should give up antibiotics and medicine for her kids too since she doesn't believe in science.

  31. Creationism is delusional fundamentalist hoodoo fantasy and belongs NOWHERE near any educational institution.  This is the number 1 reason to NOT vote for McCain/Palin.  Scary, scary stuff.
