Campaign for Peace and Democracy. We are citizens of the world, and we are also American. What make us Good Americans or Evil Ones is how we respond to greed ! Just Say No to Greed ! Boycott Turkey ! Campaign for Peace and Democracy. http://whatismoral.blogspot.com/

  1. I think it's very hard to get a consensus big enough to be effective. People have to have some terrible shock to move their behinds to do anything. That's why our gov't resorted to committing 911 that they now use every time Bush opens his pie-hole.

  2. I too am a citizen of planet earth.  We are one people, one humanity, citizens of one planet home earth.  We need to move out of the age of conceiving ourselves as a nation that consumes at the expense of the well-being of others and learn to conceive of ourselves as inhabitants of the same planet that must solve planet-sized problems in mutually beneficial ways.  No nation is better than another nation.  No people are better than another people.  We are one human family, beloved children of one creator.  All of us.

We can stop many vicious systems of injustice and violence by stopping our conspicuous consumption and cutting  our buying down to the minimum requirements for healthy living; reduce our carbon imprint by reducing, recycling, and reusing; and by allying ourselves with people who are trying to bring justice, prosperity, and peace to the planet.

Instead of pulling people out of the rampaging flood one-by-one, help build the machine that will stop the flood.  Be the change you want to see in the world.

  3. So am I to boycott eating turkey for Christmas dinner because of the cruel and inhumane ways they are raised and transported?  If this will make me a great American, then kudo's to me...we are having steak and shrimp for Christmas dinner this year.

I am not sure exactly what your question is here, or if rather you just wanted to throw out a statement and see what kind of answers you would get in response...

To the person who uses the term islamofacism...you need not stereotype and fashion together everyone into one bundle.  I am prior military myself, and I support our troops, but you can not condemn an entire people because of the mistakes of a few...after all, I am sure you do not consider yourself one of "those" Americans everyone abroad seems to despise, do you?

What makes you good and what makes you evil depends on the circumstances and what you have to work with I guess.  You can be quite evil and your actions really have nothing to do with greed...

Want to campaign for peace...try starting in your own back yard.  Volunteer at a school, pick up some garbage the next time you are walking down your street...try serving some dinners at a homeless shelter.  Your actions will begin a rippling effect.

  4. I am NOT a citizen of the world. I am a citizen of the United States of America, the best country on the face of the Earth and d**n well proud of it!

As long as there are those in this world who wish to kill me and my family, there will be no peace. The best way for peace to succeed is the elimination of those forces who wish us harm. Today, it is Islamofascist terrorist savages who want to kill every man, woman and child in the USA if we do not convert to their pagan religion. Well, I got news for you honey-----I WILL NOT!!!! And thank God we have young men and women who will don the uniform of our armed forces (as I once did) to protect the USA and our way of life, which is already the democracy you seek. One day I hope you wake up.

    Merry Christmas to our troops!!!

God bless them one and all!!!
